Lancaster County Sports Hall of Fame announced its 2026 award winners at a Hall of Fame night at the Lancaster Stormers, where board members Barbara Barr and Kenny Myers threw out ceremonial first pitches before the game.
The Stormers posted banquet information and photos of award winners on the giant video board before the game.
The Hall of Fame will recognize its 2026 honorees at its banquet Wednesday, Oct. 21, at the Eden Resort. Go here for ticket information and more.
Receiving the J. Freeland Chryst Sports Achievement Award and induction into the Hall of Fame will be Travis Jankowski (Lancaster Catholic, baseball), Lauren Witmer (Lancaster Catholic, tennis), Jim Cantafio (Conestoga Valley, football), and Andrew Wenger (Warwick, soccer).
Bill Smith, a fixture of the Lancaster running community for decades, will be honored as the 2026 Kenneth G. Stoudt Volunteer Award recipient.
The late Phil Kauffman, the longtime highly-successful Cocalico High School football coach, will be honored as the 2026 George W. Kirchner Award recipient.
Manheim Central High School alum Nick Spohn will be honored as Inspirational Athlete of the Year. The 2026 LNP | LancasterOnline High School Senior Athletes of the Year — Cedar Crest’s Kaddel Howard and Manheim Township’s Jack Kenneff— will be recognized as well.
